If you want a real ‘wow, times have changed’ moment go to 3:00 of this video from 1989 where Venables and George Graham do a joint interview filled with friendly banter (they were former teammates at Chelsea) and then the Tottenham manager helps unveil the refurbished clock at Highbury. It boggles the mind when you consider the state of the rivalry today.

RIP

Whoops, forgot to link video - edited.

Sad to hear that ex Tottenham and England manager Terry Venables, has passed away.
Liked the banter between Terry and George Graham in the 1991 FA Cup Semi Final.
Terry lead England to the Semi Finals of Euro 96.
RIP.

Sad news. Winner of Sp**s last proper trophy (League Cup isn't quite the same). Really was a magestic Gascoigne and Linekar performances in the cup for them against us and other teams that season. Their FA Cup win there really had plenty of 'magic of the cup' moments. Gaza being a beast in the run to the final absolutely destroying us and breaking his leg in the final.

Then Forrest took the lead in the final, looking like they'll win the only competition Brian Clough hadn't won. Linekar missed a penalty. Then Stewart equalised, it went into extra time and somehow the best English defender IMO in Des Walker scored a home goal.

BTW every respectable Arsenal fan should be rooting for Forrest. Not just because they're facing our rivals but because in our early existance they donated their kits to our players who didn't have kits. And that ladies and gentleman is why we wear red and white.

Having said that, it's a perfect excuse for some Brian Clough hilarity
