He's their current sporting director too.

Is Juninho the only prominent figure to come out against Bolsonaro? Seems like everyone else was coming out and supporting, assume those who opposed him just stayed quiet? But I don't really know that much just bits I've seen on social media.

Sports wise? Casagrande and a few others have come out againts him, but I think Juninho stands out because he's younger and sort of understands the media better.

What you need to understand is that the "Pernambucano" part of his nickname comes from being born in the northeastern state of Pernanbuco.

People from the northeast face a crapton of racism because they're seen as lazy people by Southerners and Southeastern people. You ask why "Nordestinos" love Lula so much, despite all that's come out and they'll say it's because he lifted them from poverty.

Where I live (south, European colonized) they get a lot of stick. We hired a black, northeaster woman once for my former company and I heard from the HR person we hired that she would've never gotten a job in sales if not for us because of her accent and color.

Like, what the actual ****.

Cmon give the guy a break. Yes he’s had the luxury of Messi-Xavi-Iniesta and an open cheque book to work with. But he’s an innovator who has revolutionised the modern game.

Funny things is, even though that's meant ironic, I guess, the gegenpressing of his opponents has had a much more long lasting effect on the game than his tika taka **** that's been caught out for years now and was put to bed latest at the 2018 EC. Guardiola has invented **** as every defining thing of his game has been here before and the one thing that really defined him - passing til you drop dead or tiki taka - has beend sorted out and is now out of favour.

All hail mighty Pep who invented attacking football

Every time I hear the media say basically this...

dataimagejpegbase649j4AAQSkZJRgABAQAAAQABAAD2wCEAA-9c6f6cebcc140cc5015ecd796a351ffe.jpg

...Pep's football is a bit too constricting for me, Arsène's was more free flowing imo.

Just watched the extended highlights and $hity beat themselves. You can't expect to go to the next round with dumbass mistakes like that.

Lyon were organized and waited for these clowns to sabotage themselves.

Like Trump, he'll be reelected because the left can't organize themselves. In the US they went with a "safe", but extremelly poor choice in Biden.

Here our labour party still dominates the left of center, despite Dilma's impeachment and mouting corruption. Had they withdrawn from the race last time, Bolsonaro would've lost, but it's very much a "the ball's mine **** you guys" vibes from them.

Like, why have their leader go to Maduro's inauguration? That's just playing to Bolsonaro's hands. Too easy.

I'm happy my dad's completely regreted voting for Bolsonaro. My step mom is almost there, as well. They've lost friends because of this.

Don't know how any one of sound mind can defend a negationist of that degree. He's in bed now with the Centrão, a group of center left/right parties that dominate our congress, something he promissed he would never do if elected.

The worst part is, unlike Trump, Bolsonaro actually believes most of what he says. The man actually believes there's a communist conspiracy to rule the world.

I don't ****ing even, man...

Trump is a major racist sociopath and Bolsonaro is even worse indeed, if that is even possible. Brazil already lost 100,000 people to Covid and won't be surprised if they lose more than the US. Utter disaster.
Not a good forum to discuss this, but I don't believe Biden is a poor choice. Actually, he is the most realistic option to get rid of Trump and his enablers. I see him more like a new LBJ (Lindon Johnson) for that matter. His platform is the most progressive in the US ever and this by a distance.

 Wenger's 2005-2012 team played far better football than this city team. Some of the goal that Wenger teams scored was some of the best you'll ever see. We might not have been as dominant but we were by far the more watchable team
I don't know about that. $hity in 18/19 played some of the best football this league has ever seen.

Here's hoping. What's happening in the USPS is literally criminal. Rough times ahead.

This Rodri-Guy was so hyped everywhere. Beautiful ball playing midfielder, good in tacklings too..

He is completely average.

Nah he’s actually class but he’s not a f*cking DM.

Infuriates me when Pep uses him as a pivot which is not his game at all, he was one of the best midfielders in La Liga last year playing a totally different game.

Nah... Wenger's Football was far more entertaining except you're city fan. City's football at their best was a bit robotic, but Wenger's Arsenal at their best was just pure art. I don't think you could have found a better **** material in pornhub if you tried

Ffs the more Lyon advance deeper into the CL, the more teams are going to take notice of Aouar
