Maybe this is a humbling experience.

He really needs to find a system and stick to it. Wenger had Wenger ball, we desperately need a consistent image and identity.

To all the Spuds fans who've logged in, Arteta has won more than your sorry club in less time.
The job was too big for him anyway. Also why Sp**s fans entering here you had worse season than us and still finishing midtable like us

Keown say Arsenal can rise again with the right people at the helm. Freddie hopes this is rock bottom and says that we need to change the pattern when we get worse and worse each year. Both say money needs yo be spent. Keown says that Wenger carried this club and says that other clubs have done more to address the lack of success. He says without expenditure snd without us meaning everything yo the owner, we're not going yo catch anyone up. Strong words from both especially Keown. These guys know what the club means.
It's not rock bottom. Far from it. The first half of the season showed us glimpses of what rock bottom might be like.

Winging your way to a European semi-final is hardly rock bottom (we had the easiest group we've ever been in, in any competition). Rock bottom is failing to qualify for Europe, making that the norm and starting to flirt with relegation. Rock bottom is having an owner who only cares for money, a manager who is out of his depth and a squad only interested in their pay checks.

We're a club that has been declining for a while, but always managed to just about paper over the cracks. Well the crack got too big and we got found out. Ain't nowhere to hide now. Is this rock bottom though?

Arteta say "we are devestated" and thinks we deserved to win. What a fool. He says Xhaka injury changed everything. He's now blaming injuries. He says we were " imprecise with the ball". He says we created enough chances. He says we were not overrun in midfield. We've been outnumbered for a year! He admits we started badly, regrets the set pieces in the first leg. He says we have a really young team. He admits European qualification depends on the and name dropped the FA Cup win. His throat was dry, he's deluded and telling bad lies and he doesn't know what he's doing.
Anyone in his position would look foolish with the self preservation stuff. It’s on the people who hired him to do the necessary now. He had surprising backing among club execs and fans still back in December, but we’ve only seen regression back to the same rut as back in November, not any discernible progression.

Maybe his good vibes, FA cup and community shield may have made him think he has all the answers.

If he is here next season, I hope he really works on a true spine and system. There's been flashes of brilliance, he needs to make up his mind and put his own identity.

If he has tried to emulate Pep, he hopefully can see that you need an extreme cheque book for that.

Will continue my support as a masochist until he leaves the club. 3 Managerial changes in almost as many years would really make us look clueless.

Arsenal Quotes

An Arsenal fan, when you finish fourth, will say, “Hey, we’ve been in the top four for twenty years. We want to win the league!”. They don’t care that Manchester City or Chelsea have spent 300 or 400 million euros. They just want to beat them.
But if you finish fifteenth two years running, they will be happy if you finish fourth after that.
