The Kroenke's have done a pretty good PR job at convincing some people that their motivation is towards on-pitch success instead of making money in the long term. Getting rid of Tierney on loan when we just lost Timber without signing any replacements is just plain stupid. Zinchenko has never had an injury-free season and Tomiyasu/Partey aren't exactly dependable on that front either. The worst part about this is that means Cedric will probably still be getting minutes until January at least.
What the hell do the kroenkes have to do with this? They couldn’t care less if Tierney is sitting on our bench or on loan in Spain. These decisions are made by Arteta and Edu.

Be interesting who PSV bring him as a replacement for Singare. They will look weak in CM and it should be a walk in a park for us in the CL.

I missed this but i mean they couldn't get someone and sell the players later? what the difference would make they already did spent 200M before we sold anyone.
Because we bought players early in the window with money we didn't have. The fees for Balogun, Turner, Trusty etc. already went into the signings of Rice, Havertz and Timber.

Now we failed to sell player like Tierney, Tavares, Holding, Lokonga and Pepe which is probably around 60m less money earned than the club expected.
The club is heavily restricted by FFP now.

Don't expect any signings in January, maybe a loan.

Watching them against Rangers, the boy Saibari looked the pick of their players, was everywhere.

Do you think it's Arteta's call that the players we sign mainly all fit a certain age profile and re-sale value? His record of barely giving Hale End youngsters a look-in is indicative of someone who would make different decisions IMO at least. The owners of the club set expenditure and budget targets and Arteta & Edu just have to work with that. Our goal is to make the top 4 and that's pretty obvious to me.

Fourth year in a row where Edu can't sell players for ****.

Sambi, Nuno, Cedric were his players and Holding, Tirney extended on his watch as well. What's the excuse for that I wonder.

Arsenal Quotes

When I first came to Arsenal, I realised the back four were all university graduates in the art of defending. As for Tony Adams, I consider him to be a doctor of defence. He is simply outstanding.
