Calm down guys he stil should not start every game don’t make fools of yourselves. He has been very good but whenever he has to track back he gets destroyed. Some games we can’t have that and that is ok.

Sometimes I think all the ball knowledge A-M has is of their boyfriends.

2015 you know! Bet he doesn’t even remember this 😂
Tbf he was awesome as the holder at Napoli under Sarri. Only reason I had against him is the same as the one i had last Jan and that's that he was just too damn slow . Rice has kinda brought back the feeling for me a bit. A proper athlete with some power in there. He does all the dog work for Jorginho so it works.

Jorginho won’t start every game. We’ll see Kai drop back into the midfield with trossard CF for Sheffield imo. Would probably do the same for Brentford Jesus CF, Trossard LW in that game . jorginho is needed mostly, for the porto game mostly . obviously he comes off the bench in both those previous games beforehand. so I don’t even think he’s a risk of being overplayed etc. Hopefully Partey ,zinchenko ,tomiyasu get minutes off the bench in the Sheffield or Brentford, if they are not ready for the Sheffield game as well.

He would have been more respected if he went to City, probably would have gone down as possibly one of the greatest midfielders of the EPL, his game is tailor made for Clubs like City, prime Barca and Us, he doesn't shine as much in setups that don't control possession.
Tbh i was underwhelmed when watching him for Chelsea but tbf i never really paid attention but watching him close for us, i see why the likes of Pep wanted him so much

I rate footballers (or anyone for that matter) that try and give back.

But I have to say, local charities in Cobham kind of spun me. It’s not exactly “the ends”…

Guess there’s inequalities everywhere but seriously Elmbridge Borough is very wealthy and it’s insane that you need local charities around there, you’d think/hope the council has enough?

System is so broken.

Almost as if the people in charge over the last decade are morally bankrupt, corrupt, self-serving, incompetent, delusional scumbags utterly unsuited to any kind of public office or position of responsibility. Quite apart from the economic and political philosophies that underpin what we see, so many of the population are struggling because of the vast increase in inequality resulting in inflationary pressures etc disproportionately affecting the bottom 50%, while others have been convinced that its fine to not give a **** because anyone worse off is a freeloading scumbag anyway. Tax avoidance good, working in lower paid jobs bad.

Seriously, in a civilised society, those in power (and the mainstream print media and the owners) would be whipped through the streets. In any eveny, great to hear that yet another one of our players wants to improve the lives of others, rather a number of Chelsea legends (for example) who specialise in not giving a ****.

How many “deeper” CMs do we realistically need?

We currently have Rice, Partey, Jorginho, ElNeny in the squad that can do that role, with Lokonga on loan.

We’ve basically only had Rice and Jorginho this season, and do feel we could have done with another.

Would be happy to go into next season with Rice, Jorginho and a new player, with the other 3 moving on.

I think we'll get one more in summer because Elneny and Partey will definitely leave and Lokonga we'll likely take take advantage and sell him while his value gone bit up.

Rice/Jorginho/New Singing

Ode/Vieira/Havertz with Rice also being able to play more of an advanced role.

Have a feeling Arteta will give ESR one more season as well (even though he shouldn’t).

I'd like Teta to use Zinny as an actual midfielder next season, seeing as that's his natural position. No reason he can't do the Xhaka/Havertz role.

We will likely see Partey & Sambi sold & Neny out of contract so with Rice & Jorgi extended, we'd need likely just one MF purchase.

With Timber, Tomi, Kiwi, White, Gabi, Saliba, would mean we need an extra defensive purchase, maybe two. KT will be sold & Cedric out of contract too.

Some wonder why Jorginho hasn't played that much this season, but Arteta said he has carried an injury. Has been unbelievable, Pirlo-like in recent times.

He is injured very rarely, so I would absolutely extend him as it bodes well for being able to perform later in career. He has taken Xhaka's leadership role just like expected. He also has never been dependant on pace.

It's good to extend him, he just turned 32 years old which can still be almost prime for a midfielder. I think he can possibly fetch a couple million in summer 2025 also if sold then.

He can take the Elneny role, which is an upgrade, and the level Arsenal should strive for.

I think this is the right call, though I'd prefer him to play a similar role to Jorginho of this season - as a 6 with Rice playing as the 8 while going forward and dropping back alongside them when out of posession.

We have increasingly better options than Zinchenko at LB, and it seems clear that Jorginho doesn't have the legs to play week in, week out. I think Zinchenko coming into that role will help extend the usefulness of both players in our squad. Plus, realistically we have needs elsewhere which have to be addressed and thus may simply not have the money to invest back into midfield.
