Depends on the reason, some reasons are understandable. It's a brag because they spotted the talent early isn't it.

Even when I read his book he didn't really go into depth about a lot of the players like I thought he would.

Yup, on the flip side of missing out on players, people overestimate footballer loyalty. If we're nowhere in the next few years and Saka/ESR have the chance to go to City or wherever. They're gone.
