They're 6 points off 4th and their next 4 games before the City game are Arsenal(h), Chelsea(a), Liverpool(a), Burnley(h). Villa play Chelsea(h), Brighton(a), Liverpool(h). I dont really see Sp**s closing that gap with those games and they have a worse goal difference by a decent margin.
Not sure if you saw that Tottenham has 2 games in hand vs. Villa. Goal difference is only 5 goals.

Anything can happen in football, and especially in EPL.

Wonder if a City victory tonight is actually more beneficial for us. We tend to drop the ball when handed the initiative and would prefer them to drop points with 2 games to go right at the death. I see West Ham and Sp**s being potentially ‘dropped points’ games for them.

We need the pressure of requiring to win. I still have reservations about this team’s mentality when put into an advantageous position.

I know they have 2 games in hand, Chelsea away and Man City at home. A plausible scenario is we beat them and Villa win this weekend. That means Sp**s go to Chelsea 9 points behind Villa and they've won once at Chelsea in 30 years. If they don't win that one they're at best 8 points behind with one game in hand.

Are we really gonna rely on Sp**s? I have the feeling that they will lose all the big games with pressure on them to win for top 4 place. I have more faith in Burnley taking points than Sp**s against City ...

City defeated Chelsea to reach FA cup final

Arsenal defeated Chelsea to go from 2nd to 2nd.

We are 1st right now though, and we were also 1st before we beat Chelsea too

Where were City's goals to go through against Real? Or even a good performance against a very bad Chelsea?

Arsenal is 1st in the league, not 2nd. Man lives on some alternative universe.

City might not drop any points, they are the current champions for a reason...but you also never know.

Lets make sure we win all our games just incase, City still have some tough games left too.

Spend your evening tonight on better things than watching Brighton vs City.

Forrest might have something for us on Sunday but Brighton? I have no hopes.

Definitely a forlorn hope. But, this is the PL and stranger things have happened.

City just won a treble less than a year ago and they're on course to win a double this season while Arteta has won absolutely nothing since the FA Cup he won with a squad he inherited from Emery

The league isn’t over based on one loss, we’ve gone on an unbelievable run in 2024 to be in this position.
As of January 1st 2024 Arsenal were two points behind the league leader Liverpool

Today Arsenal will be two points behind league leaders city when city win their games in hand

So technically at the end of the day that unbelievable run amounted to nothing

You should try be more subtle with your trolling, or else you blow your cover as an opposition fan way too soon.

City have 2 games in hand and it is impossible they will drop points with no UCL to fight for. The league was over when arsenal lost to vila.
City have dropped points 3 times in their last 10 games.

They have dropped points in 1/3 of their away games this season.

They have 4 away games, and 2 home games left. So statistically they will drop points.

You don't know football if you think wins are automatic.

Typical Arteta cultist response, label anyone who doesn't worship their specialist in failure a troll or fake fan

Arsenal Quotes

When I first came to Arsenal, I realised the back four were all university graduates in the art of defending. As for Tony Adams, I consider him to be a doctor of defence. He is simply outstanding.
