I think he's a breath of fresh air personally. Totally goes against the stereotypical footballer narrative. Seems like a genuinely honest, stand up guy & doesn't pretend to be something he's not & he's not afraid to stand by his values & beliefs. People are afraid of that & especially things that go against the grain.

The best but is that he's a totally committed footballer when it comes to training & match day, yet able to switch off in the time outside of that.

I have nothing but respect for him.

So it was this. It's totally Holland's fault. And Holland was a Chelsea assistant manager for years. So he wanted to annoy White in front of everyone.

Southgate is in trouble, because has lied to the whole country that there were no problems with Holland? Or what can be his way out?

Very nice that this has now leaked, because somehow the truth had to come out. And it's better than if White said it.
"Indeed, it is understood Holland put this line to him in Qatar."

Do you understand this to mean that he somehow questioned White about not liking to watch football in front of the whole squad?

Fwiw hardly any of the stories coming out about Ben White are true, this isnā€™t about coachā€™s.

Didnā€™t Southgate deny that it had anything to do with a bust up with a coach? So whyā€™s everyone still running with that angle?
Itā€™s all hear say with zero proof. People believe any rumour about drama these days.

Because we believe he lies. The rumour about the bust up with the coach is too detailed and has been the one consistent rumour from the start. The athletic reported it again after Southgate denied

Imagine Holland saying to White that he cares more about other things than football in front of everyone when the coach is picking a disgusting human being like Walker ahead.

Not to mention White has already formed a brilliant link up with Rice and Saka on that right-hand side challenging for the biggest honors, so it's England's loss not to build on that IMO. But better for us.

Love what White did. Would do the same in his shoes.

Of course he will deny it. He isn't gonna publicly undermine his assistant is he ? Come on man.

Where are the quotes? Where is the evidence?
Do you always take what the athletic say to be true?

Initially agreed with this but looking at their squad, I'm actually not so sure.

Obviously this is ignoring the managers because yeah:

I think most of that is fairly even. Mbappe obviously way better than Grealish but if you remove him as you suggested there's a huge drop. Kane also completely dunks on Giroud if we're being real, again ignoring managerial stuff and just focusing on the individual quality of the players.

Very evenly matched teams on paper tbh.

Both teams lack depth in midfield but have crazy good starters.

France have MUCH better depth at CB, no question about that. Made even worse if we actually leave out White of course.

Hernandez is also the better LB but if Southgate had a gram of creativity in his body it wouldn't be a problem. With teams everywhere inverting their FBs he could literally play Trent as the inverted LB in this setup.
Don't think it's that even tbh. Kane clearly better than Giroud but that is if France don't play Mbappe up front. Bellingham over Camavinga (if they actually play the same positions) but the rest I'd take the French player every time, even including Dembele and Saka as the former shows up for France while the latter isn't nearly as good for England as he is for Arsenal.

Backline especially there's two or three levels between them.

The discourse surrounding White's expulsion from the England squad is draining. I can tell it's an international weekend because this is a nothing-story blown out of proportion by the Brexiteers and the Gammon Gangsters on Talksport. This is nothing-story. If you want to see real drama in an international squad, at least make it interesting like the French. Underaged prostitutes, Parisian mobsters, blackmail, fallouts - the real Hollywood sh!t.
Exhibit A:
No one does controversy like the French.
